Showcasing a line up of the best local talent who will perform their own style of music in 30 minute sessions.

SHANAYA
Shanaya is a 20 year old power house, she has a name you will find difficult to pronounce, but a voice you will never forget. Introducing from X-Factor 2017. THE ONE, THE ONLY, SHANAYA.

THE THIEVES
A superb three piece local band. These young lads are taking the North East by storm. The Thieves play 60s, Mod and R&B with a Thieves twist. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

THE KENT COLLECTIVE
The Kent Collective is a Mod 3 piece band based in Darlington and Aycliffe. Formed in 2017, the members are Darren Kent, Paul Morrison and Ade Clement. They perform a mix of the very best Mod, Ska, Northern Soul, New Wave and Rhythm and Blues.

AYCLIFFE & BRANCEPETH BRASS BAND

Aycliffe & Brancepeth Brass Band are a traditional brass band who rehearse on Wednesdays and Sundays in the Big Club Newton Aycliffe and are open to members of all ages. They perform regularly at Concerts, Shows, Galas and Fundraising events on the stage, bandstand and as a Marching Band.

SONIC VOID
Sonic Void are a four piece, piano-fronted alternative rock band from the north east who write and perform original music. Combining various influences to create melodic rock music with soft undertones.

“TRIBUTE TO DUA LIPA” with CASSANDRA BOWTELL
Cassandra has been singing since she left Greenfield school 16 years ago. Working with duos, trios and as a solo artist. She recently teamed up with two amazing dancers Emily and Francis, the owners of Infinity Dance Company, to work on this tribute act. This is their first performance together and they are really looking forward to it.

AMY
Amy is the lead female singer from “Groovy Street” and will be peforming a few popular tracks at Aycliffe Festival. Amy appeared on “Stars in their Eyes Kids” in 2002. Amy also presents her own shows on Aycliffe Radio.

TIMMY WHITEHOUSE MUSIC
Whitehouse is a British singer-songwriter with northern roots, he has often been likened to artists such as Bob Mould (Sugar) and Noel Gallagher; in recent years he has supported the singer from 90s band “The Bluetones” and played various festivals around north yorkshire, with his catchy lyrics and retro style he is sure to make you all bounce and smile.

DAVID BRITTLE
Singer/Songwriter – David Brittle started his musical journey as the front man in a well known and successful band “The Hyads” for 10 years. After this David picked up his acoustic guitar and carried on performing around the north east, building up a fan base and has never looked back. (In the style of Stereophonics, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Elbow, Oasis and more)

CHARLOTTE JAYNE
Charlotte Jayne will be performing solo, providing covers of the latest pop music (current chart). She performed in the Great Aycliffe show for 5 years (2007-2012); with John Melvin at Greenfield (2009-2014); at the Xcel Centre Christmas shows (2009-2013); with “Out of the Blue” (who were on Britain’s Got Talent) 2010; at a Charity Event in 2016 at The Navy Club and at The Big Club in 2013 with John Melvin.

WHISKEY HAZE
Whiskey Haze are a five piece rock band. They are a covers band, but some of the covers are done in their own style. Whiskey Haze also are working on original material and they may play one on the day, don’t know yet.

M.A.D. CHOIR
MAD Community Choir are based in Newton Aycliffe, the choir has been a long established choir for over 4 years. Anyone is welcome to join. They perform regularly to raise funds for local charities and live up to their name “Making a Difference”. They will perform a selection of well known songs.

SCOTT WILSON
Scott is an alternative acoustic singer/songwriter, somewhat experimental and improvised at times, with the use of a number of guitar pedals to keep the sound interesting. Scott plays a number of covers ranging from bands like ‘Pink Floyd’ to more modern artists like ‘The Weeknd’. He is currently in the process of writing his own material too, so you may hear a lovely mixture of both covers and original songs on the day! Hope you enjoy the day!

HARRIS TWEED MYSTERY MACHINE
A five piece local band who cover tracks from artistes such as T-Rex, Stereophonics, Jeff Beck, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Wild Cherry, Rod Stewart, Dire Straits, The Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd.

JOHN SNOWBALL
John Snowball is an experienced performer and entertainer of many years. John specialises in Folk Music (songs, traditional and contemperary).

BOSKO GREEN
Bosko Green is an independent artiste who will be performing a mix of original songs and covers arranged for one voice and one guitar.

BECKY SAWYER
Becky began singing around the age of 8, she found her voice was very much soul based when she was 14 and discovered Etta James. She then went on to sing in various shows throughout school and university in some great venues such as “The Cluny”.

LEW BYG
22 year old hip hop and grime artiste, performed at many events around the region and released projects in the hip-hop and grime genre and currently working on a new EP called Alien featuring some of the north easts best. Has been writing music for around 10 years and has also performed in local venues such as Roundhouse. Lew has also been featured in the Northern Echo and Newton News and filmed several music videos in the Newton Aycliffe.

INFINITY DANCE COMPANY
Infinity Dance Company was set up in 2016 by best friends Emily Henderson and Frances Wade. The School has over 100 students and offers classes in a range of Dance Styles from Street, Hip Hop & Commercial to Lyrical, Acro, Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Jazz. The opportunities at IDC are endless from the regular competitions to performances, workshops, exams and shows.

XCEL CENTRE BAND
Drummer – Ben Greenow; Electric/Acoustic Guitar – Simon Thurlbeck; Keys – Laura Thurlbeck; Bass – Zack Street plus five singers. They will perform 6 or 7 songs (depending on time). The music genre will be contemporary Christian music although some of the female vocalists will be performing a cover of “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman and also “Came Here for Love”. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

PROFESSOR NINCOMPOOP
Professor Nincompoop will be in attendance most of the day and will be performing magic shows, kiddies entertainment and balloon art.
